Gartan Outdoor Centre, a restored stone building set on the shore of beautiful Lough Gartan, is ideally located as an adventure sport base in the heart of Donegal. While many sports take place on the lake and in our 87 acre estate, our rugged hills and coastline are only a very short distance away. Providing a wide range of land and water based courses, on a residential and non residential basis, the Centre also operates a Sailing and Windsurfing School at Downings Beach on Sheephaven Bay, during the summer months. All ten ensuite bedrooms, in the south west wing of the Centre, have superb views immediately overlooking the lake and Derryveagh Hills. We also provide high standard hostel style accommodation in our east wing. The ‘Old Lough Veagh Boathouse’, our new day course facility and coffee shop, will open October 2005.
