Based on the north west coast of Ireland in Kincasslagh, Co. Donegal, Saoire Mara was established in 2007 and in March took delivery of a new purpose built charter boat, "Caitlín Marie" from Lyme Boats in the UK.
Caitlín Marie is a Vigilante 33 and is a new design from Lyme Boats and is one of only 2 of her kind currently in Ireland. Fitted with all modern navigation and safety equipment she is licensed by the Irish Department of Transport to carry 12 passengers plus 2 crew. The vessel is equipped with many extras including auto pilot, dive platform and ladder, mp3 player providing guided talk on sightseeing cruises, 8 rod holders, microwave oven, hot water boiler and for your comfort, heated cabin, shelterred seating, non slip tek dek and manual toilet.
Some of the marine activities available at Saoire Mara include Sea Angling, Sightseeing Cruises and Island Trips. Thus far we've had overseas customers from America, Austrailia, Germany, Holland, England, Scotland, Wales and France and domestic customers have come from all corners of Ireland. We are delighted with the feedback from all our customers of their time in Kincasslagh and on board Caitlín Marie.
Sea anglers on board Caitlín Marie have already caught numerous species including Pollock, Coalies, Mackerel, Cod, Ling, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse, Red Gurnard, Grey Gurnard and Dogfish.
